By 2051 several cities across India will be connected via bullet trains.
In the coming years, you may get to travel from Delhi to Jammu and Delhi to Guwahati on Indian Railways new high-speed railway networks at 300 kilometres per hour. According to the new draft National Rail Plan (NRP) unveiled by the Ministry of Railways, by 2051 several cities across India will be connected via bullet trains. Indian Railways hopes to finalise this draft NRP by January 2021 after consultation with various ministries. The draft NRP proposes to extend the bullet train corridors and introduce new ones to bring major cities with tourism and economic potential on the high-speed rail map.
