Burgess column: A day at the lake, enjoying our government services Jack Burgess View Comments Even though the sunshine was alternating with rain, I like to get out in nature. So I checked the weather app on my computer and concluded I might find some sun down around Caldwell Lake. I stopped at the grocery for a cola and corn chips to go with my sandwich. Traffic was moderate, and I arrived at the lake without a hitch. There’s a new boat dock and some new boats. Cool! Kids were playing in the refurbished children’s area. There must have been hundreds of people enjoying Scioto Trails State Park. It’s a big, rambling park that can handle lots of folks without getting crowded.
