The Cadiz Rotary Club has some chickens and Boston butts available as they ‘Fill The Pits’ Saturday to raise money for the youth and seniors of Trigg County. Rotary member Jim Wallace tells the News Edge they have around 20 butts and 35 chickens left to sell. Orders can be made by calling or texting Rotarian Tim McGinnis at (270) 350-0336, Wallace at (270) 836-4977, or any other Cadiz Rotarians. McGinnis says the event is made possible through a partnership with Genesis Express. Wallace adds orders could be picked up Saturday at Genesis Express from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. All of the proceeds will go toward the ‘Rally for Rotary’, which is raising money for scholarships and several programs for seniors.
