Calgary Stampede returns as first major post-pandemic event

Calgary Stampede is off and running — the first major post-pandemic event in Canada — as the initial full day of festivities was met with excitement and enthusiasm from those in attendance.
The Stampede is returning to action this year after it was cancelled in 2020 for the first time in over 100 years. Friday marked the first full day of the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth’s return to central Calgary as crowds returned to the midway, grandstand and fair.
