Calhoun County logo BATTLE CREEK, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – The Calhoun County Public Health Department started to vaccinate children between the ages of 12 and 15 with the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine on Thursday. The vaccine was authorized and recommended by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) earlier this week. Parents/guardians wishing to have their children between the ages of 12 and 17 vaccinated can them to one of the CCPHD walk-in/ drive-thru vaccine clinic sites. No appointment is needed. They may also schedule an appointment at calhouncountymi.gov/ covidvaccine. Individuals who are 12 – 17 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian to receive the vaccine.
