Michigan State Police Metro Detroit troopers were dispatched to eastbound I-94 near Chatsworth Road for a single-vehicle crash around 4:30 a.m. Monday.
Police believe the driver was speeding and weaving in and out of traffic before losing control of the vehicle. The car then crashed into the right embankment, struck a light pole and then hit the Chatsworth Road bridge abutment. The impact with the abutment split the vehicle in half. The driver was ejected onto the freeway ramp to Harper Avenue.
