CBS Sports lists candidates to replace Les Miles at Kansas Les Miles and Kansas mutually parted ways late Monday night amid the reports of LSU’s handling of sexual and domestic assault during Miles’ time at the school, prior to Kansas. Moving forward, Kansas must find a new head coach for the 2021 season and beyond. Since it’s March, the Jayhawks are well behind the eight-ball when it comes to the coaching carousel. However, don’t count out certain candidates to jump ship from their current school and come into a Big 12 job, despite Kansas’ lack of success. “I am extremely disappointed for our university, fans, and everyone involved with our football program,” Kansas Athletic Director Jeff Long’s statement read after the parting of ways with Miles. “There is a lot of young talent on this football team, and I have no doubt we will identify the right individual to lead this program. We will begin the search for a new head coach immediately with an outside firm to assist in this process. We need to win football games, and that is exactly what we’re going to do.”
