By Jim Measel Jun 3, 2021 | 7:58 AM SHERIDAN TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – There are so many phone scams these days that it can be overwhelming. The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office says they found out Wednesday that a Sheridan Township resident had gotten a phone call from a man stating he worked as a civil process server for the Sheriff’s Department. The man was said to be aggressive and demanded cooperation or the resident would be arrested. The phone number used by this male was (517) 237-3233. On the same day, a similar incident took place in Pennfield Township when a resident was contacted by a Deputy Sarah Schultz but there is not a deputy by that name at the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office.
