SANDUSKY - Cedar Point announced the hiring of Carrie Boldman as vice president and general manager,the first woman appointed to those key roles in the park’s 150-year history. Boldman is succeeding Jason McClure, who has been promoted to senior vice president of park operations at Cedar Point’s parent company, Cedar Fair Entertainment Company, according to a news release. Boldman’s new role also came as a promotion from within as she previously worked as the park’s vice president of merchandise and games. Boldman has 25 years of experience, also having worked for Disney Parks and Resorts and The Chef’s Garden, a family-owned sustainable farm in Huron, her hometown, prior to joining Cedar Fair in 2013.
