CFU to raise gas bills by roughly $45 a month for next year after record cold weather CEDAR FALLS, Iowa (KWWL) -- Cedar Falls Utilities residential customers will see on average an increase of about $45 a month on their gas bill for the next year after an unprecedented stretch of cold weather in February. The CFU Board voted Monday to spread the utility bill impact over a 12 month period in an effort to ease the burden for customers. Residential electric bills will see a roughly $75 increase combined over the next two months, about $55 in March and $20 in April. The increases are to recoup large natural gas and electric bills CFU paid during February.
