Rear Admiral Matthew T. Bell, Junior Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - Admiral Matthew T. Bell, Junior, the commanding officer of the 17th Coast Guard District in Alaska retires following a change of command ceremony this coming Friday after 36 years of service. He talks about his long service while a guest on Action Line Monday and his vision for the 17th District and its needs for the future. He plans to retire on Kodiak where he did two stints of service. His replacement will be Rear Admiral Nathan A. Moore who most recently serves as the Coast Guard's chief engineer stationed in the nation's capital.
