On Sunday, Tamil Nadu recorded more than 1977 fresh COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours. The Chennai Municipal Corporation on Sunday had also ordered to bring back some old rules to tackle the second wave of COVID-19 menace. As per the report, 350 Chennai civic body staff have been deployed from Saturday for stricter implementation of Covid safety protocols and SOPs.
