The GM Authority Take Chevy Low Cab Forward sales during the fourth quarter of 2020 saw a year-over-year drop. The results represent the second decrease in year-over-year sales since the Low Cab Forward launched in late 2016, following a decrease in Q3 2020 sales (down 20 percent) and increases in Q2 2020 (up 18 percent) as well as in Q1 2020 (up 55 percent). No matter, the performance still enabled GM to add 1,143 units to its overall sales tally that it would otherwise not have had. It’s also worth noting that Low Cab Forward sales improved 3 percent for the 2020 calendar year. We posit that the decrease in Chevy LCF sales during Q3 2020 was the result of the negative impact brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, with the associated commercial, economic and lifestyle disruptions brought about by the virus.
