The GM Authority Take Chevy Low Cab Forward sales during the third quarter of 2020 saw a not-insignificant year-over-year drop. The results represent the first decrease in Low Cab Forward sales on a year-over-year basis since the truck launched in late 2016. The results follow increases in Q2 2020 (up 18 percent) as well as in Q1 2020 (up 55 percent), with both quarters bucking the downward trend experienced by the auto industry during the COVID-19 pandemic. No matter, the performance still enabled GM to add 1,090 units to its overall sales tally that it would otherwise not have had. We posit that the decrease in Chevy LCF sales during Q3 2020 was the result of the negative impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, with the associated commercial, economic and lifestyle disruptions brought about by the virus.
