Gourmet chocolate and truffles manufacturer Lake Champlain Chocolates (LCC) has issued a voluntary recall for some of its milk chocolate products because they may contain foreign objects, according to a noticed recently published on the US Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) website. LLC published an announcement on the recall on January 16. The company said it initiated the recall after a consumer said they found brittle plastic pieces in one of its products. “After initial investigations and out of an abundance of caution, LCC is voluntarily recalling all potential affected product currently on the market from July 2020 through January 2021,” the company’s announcement said. “To date, no consumers have reported adverse health effects due to this contamination.”
