Fri, 04/09/2021 - 3:15pm Christine L. Philbrook Robbins. Christine L. Philbrook Robbins, age 89, passed away on April 7, 2021 at Waldo County General Hospital, following a stroke while residing at Harbor Hill in Belfast for a short time. Christine was born on July 13, 1931 to Bernice (Morey) and Arthur Philbrook. Christine was one of eleven children born to Arthur and Bernice. She grew up in Appleton and attended early years at Burkettville School and later at the Appleton Village School. She graduated from the Appleton Village High School in 1950. Christine married Neil R. Robbins on May 12, 1951. In the early years of their marriage they built their home where they resided for nearly 70 years for their entire married life. She was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother and "nana" pouring her love out to those who were around her. In many years past, she belonged to the Appleton Community Club working many benefit suppers, either for those in need or for the club itself to help raise money for its existence. She enjoyed the Appleton Alumni which was held every June. Christine couldn't wait to see everyone and reminisce about the "good old days." She was a marvelous cook which was enjoyed by many. She worked at the Appleton Village School on the hot lunch program with her mother-in law Frances.
