The opportunities and potential were obvious and what we had been looking for: recreational activities for myself and the opportunity for Sharon to engage with the United Church Women which had been a been a huge part of her life. After serving military service with the Royal Canadian Air Force we moved to Edmonton and then Sherwood Park while I served in the Edmonton Police until retirement in 1990. In 1991, I participated in my first MS Bike Tour from Leduc to Camrose and back the following day.
