All of us wanted to be mcqueen. He survives. The movie was based on a true story. The escape of 76 allied soldiers escape from germany in 1944. The film pretty much gave us the real life tragic ending to that story, only three of those men who escaped state escaped. Two norwegian pilots, and another pilot from the netherlands. No americans.
