The main branch of the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County is getting a facelift. Renovations and a "major building improvement project" for the space, located Downtown on Vine Street, have begun and will last around 18 months, according to a letter to patrons from the library. The updates are part of the library's multi-year master plan, called "Building the Next Generation Library." The majority of the work will take place in and around the library's south building. While those updates are taking place, service will continue to be offered from the north building. All services at the main branch will remain available, but the library's spaces are being rearranged and customers should use the north building’s entrance on Ninth Street.
