May 4, 2021 NATICK, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — The former Sacred Heart Church in Natick has sat vacant for years, but a circus training and acrobat school could soon fill it with life again. Jacob Skeffington co-founded Eastern Acrobatics and Circus, which has been running out of a gym in Ashland for five years, and said the church will fit his school's needs to a T. "They're almost purpose-built for it, with the vaulted ceiling," he said. Skeffington has a long history in the circus, discovering acrobatics at age 13 and spending time in Cirque de Soleil. He said the demand for circus activities are increasing, especially as a form of exercise.
