Paul Lundberg was appointed short-term Mayor of Brandon. He's planning to run for the elected position next spring.
With the recent spike in COVID-19 cases in South Dakota and Minnehaha County in particular, the ongoing debate of community-wide facemask mandates has become a familiar item on city council agendas.
It was no different in Brandon. At the Nov. 16 city council meeting, the issue of mask mandates was put on the table. After Brandon mayor Paul Lundberg asked for informal discussion, the issue was placed on the Dec. 7 agenda.
