City councilor in Mass. faces OUI charge in connection with hit-and-run crash, DA says

A New Bedford city councilor is facing multiple charges, including driving while under the influence, in connection with a hit-and-run crash, according to Bristol County District Attorney Thomas Quinn III.
Quinn says a Massachusetts State Police detective assigned to his office has completed his investigation into the May 1 multi-vehicle crash involving New Bedford City Councilor Hugh Dunn.Sign up for our Newsletters
On May 1, New Bedford police responded to the area of South Water Street shortly after 1:20 a.m. after receiving a 911 call about a possible crash. The responding officers found Dunn, who was driving his Hyundai Genesis, some distance from a damaged Chevrolet pickup truck and a Toyota RAV4 sport utility vehicle.
