From The Tribune staff reports CENTER POINT — The city of Center Point handed out over 1,200 boxes of food to those impacted by the Jan. 25 tornado. Center Point began accepting donations at its city hall on Tuesday, and have since collected a large amount of bottled water, non-perishable food products, clothing, diapers, blankets, tarps and much more. Those items can be picked up at 2209 Center Point Parkway, across from Waffle House. Some items Scott says are still needed include, batteries, flashlights, cleaning supplies and towels. Those products can still be delivered to city hall. On Saturday, the city gave away the boxes of food for those in need. Volunteers loaded cars so people could simply pull through to receive goods.
