By Imogen Bailey | 11 February 2021 Clarks Australia has welcomed the launch of the new Aimé Leon Dore collaboration collection, which reimagines the Originals shoe design, the Wallabee. Paying homage to the hip-hop history of the Wallabee shoe, rapper Nas is fronting the campaign, demonstrating that the Wallabee is still a staple in hip-hop culture. Each of the shoes is handmade in Portugal from responsibly sourced Italian wool and finished with European leather bindings. Clarks Australia marketing manager Jamie Kouktzelas said that the shoe has been integral to the Clarks heritage. "The iconic Wallabee design has been a big part of the Clarks family for over 60 years.
