Under the plans lodged by Project Urban on behalf of Colin MacLeod, Harbour Lights would be demolished for three large and contemporary apartments. The development application said it complied with the medium to high density zoning and would fit in with the suburb and street's character. The three-storey unit block would be architecturally designed by Sprout Architects with two three-bedroom apartments and the third with one bedroom. "All apartments are orientated to capture spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean," the application said. "Each unit has generous balconies and open space areas that far exceed the minimum planning scheme requirement. "The building will present a modern, elegant and attractive built form with high level finishes and horizontal and vertical articulation."
