Clinton Township Parks and Recreation adjusts to pandemic, offers new programs Seasonal employment opportunities available File photo Advertisement CLINTON TOWNSHIP — After planning and adapting programs to ever-changing executive orders, Clinton Township Parks and Recreation Department Director Brian Kay is “cautiously optimistic for the spring and summer.” He meets with his four full-time staffers on a weekly basis, as well as one part-timer, to prepare seasonal programming in advance and “un-pause” programs for in-person attendance — such as dance, fitness and karate classes. The staff attends field training seminars virtually, when in the past they would be held in person. Even with the ambiguity of last year and everyone learning to deal with the pandemic on different fronts, the department reported good attendance for the outdoor programs it did offer.
