Colin Smith's song Orphan in the Storm was set to video by Connor Small A FORMER classmate of the members of Wet Wet Wet has penned a song in memory of those who lost their lives in the Clydebank Blitz - and the community that survived. Colin Smith, 55, grew up in the town in the 1970s and 80s and used to play trumpet in the area's now-defunct brass band before later moving to England. When he returned in 2002, he said he saw Clydebank with "new eyes" and started reading more on its history. Colin's mum and her family spent both nights of the Blitz in Alexander Street.
