Mike Gilday visited Newport, Rhode Island, June 28 to engage with Sailors and Navy civilians. “Naval Station Newport is home to schools and commands that unequivocally shape the future of our Sailors and our Navy,” said Gilday. “As we look to the future, we must make sure every Sailor can out-think and outfight any adversary. Those Sailors here are learning how to do that day-in and day-out.” While at Naval Station Newport, CNO met with Distinguished International Fellows at the U.S. Naval War College, and Navy Education Training Commands staff and students, including Surface Warfare Officers School Command; Navy Supply Corps School; Naval Chaplaincy School and Center; Officer Training Command; Naval Justice School; Maritime Security Squadron 8; Naval Undersea Warfare Center; and Naval Leadership and Ethics Command.
