coherent: Coherent Corp to set up India's first Centre of Ex

US semiconductor maker Coherent Corp will establish its first Centre of Excellence in Chennai, India, to focus on research and development of products such as electric vehicle batteries and compound semiconductor devices. The centre will be located at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras Research Park and will also concentrate on lasers, optical networking components and systems.
