Colin Beattie, Musselburgh MSP I AM DELIGHTED to see a return to the classroom for children in nursery and the first three years of primary school. This will be an exciting and nerve-wracking time for parents and pupils alike, and many will be relieved to see a return to in-person teaching. This is the first step in the phased re-opening of schools and staff have been working hard to ensure safety measures are in place to welcome children back to the classroom. While this first step is certainly a cause for celebration, we remain at a critical stage in the pandemic and many children will continue to learn from home for the time being. However, with the continued success of the vaccine rollout, I hope to see more of my young constituents rejoin their classmates in the near future.
