College World Series: Mississippi State routs Vanderbilt, forces deciding Game 3

Mississippi State's offense exploded for 14 hits as the Bulldogs beat Vanderbilt 13-2 to force a deciding Game 3 in the College World Series finals on Tuesday in Omaha, Neb.
Scotty Dubrule drove in four runs and MSU scored in four of the first five innings, avenging Monday's 8-2 loss. Game 3 is scheduled for Wednesday at 7 p.m. ET.
Mississippi State pitchers Houston Harding and Preston Johnson combined to limit Vanderbilt to four hits.
Vanderbilt is looking to repeat as champion after winning the CWS in 2019 (the 2020 championship was canceled due to COVID-19). Mississippi State is chasing its first national championship. It's the Bulldogs' second appearance in the finals, after they lost to UCLA in 2013.
