By Guy Trammell Jr. African history was passed from generation to generation by storytelling, as dramatized in the television series “Roots.” The same is true for Indigenous Americans. Much of the world’s history has been overlooked, or covered with Correction Fluid, to highlight and emphasize only a European perspective of events. Preservation of history determines who we are. If we don’t know where we came from, we don’t truly know who we are.
