LANCASTER - Fairfield County commissioner Jeff Fix said he is running to replace U.S. Rep. Steve Stivers, R-Ohio, in Congress because he thinks he can make a difference. Stivers will resign the position next month to lead the Ohio Chamber of Commerce. Fix, 55, last week said he was considering running, but now said he's definitely running for the 15th District seat. Fix said he thinks he made a difference in his 17 years or so of public service on the Pickerington City Council and as a county commissioner. Fix said replacing Stivers in Congress would give him a chance to have a broader impact.
