Wyoming Valley Fork Over Love has announced its upcoming schedule of dinner distributions. The public can make reservations for meals online at forkoverlove.org or by calling 570-331-8362. Some events may be fully booked, but there is always a table with unreserved meals available at the beginning of the event. Upcoming meal distributions include: March 11, 5 p.m., SS Peter and Paul Parish, 13 Hudson Road, Plains Twp.; March 16, 4:30 p.m., Hazleton Integration Project, 225 E. 4th St., Hazleton, and March 24, 5 p.m., the Sidney and Pauline Friedman Jewish Community Center, 613 S J Strauss Lane, Kingston. Fork Over Love is a new area nonprofit focused on feeding the community by helping small, local restaurants. Fork Over Love acts as a bridge between independent restaurants and the growing number of neighbors in need. The organization raises funds to pay small, locally-owned restaurants that have been suffering financially, to provide takeout dinners for their surrounding neighborhoods. Qualifying restaurants are paid $10 for each dinner and the meals are packaged and delivered to a central community distribution point.
