Oklahoman The Gold Dome, languishing since it went into receivership in 2012, may be about to flip to an owner who is looking at converting the Uptown landmark into a concert venue. Mike Brown, president of TempleLive, said the company has a purchase contract for the property at NW 23 and Classen but that it is not yet a done deal. “We are looking into the market,” Brown said. “And it fits into the historic properties we have. We’re in due diligence and we’re doing what we can to see if it’s a viable project.” Currently TempleLive has three venues in former India Temple buildings in Cleveland, Fort Smith, Arkansas, and Wichita, Kansas. Brown said the Gold Dome is one of several potential non-temple venues being looked at for expansion.
