Confirmed Tornado in Nanty-Glo 11:22 pm The National Weather Service has confirmed a tornado occurred Thursday at Blacklick Valley High School in Cambria County. Weather officials say that the tornado, captured in multiple videos and pictures Thursday evening, was a weak, EF-0 tornado. Weather officials worked with the Cambria County Department of Emergency Services to confirm the twister. The tornado occurred just north of Nanty Glo from about 6:10 p.m. to 6:11 p.m., officials say. They say the twister had peak winds of 70 miles per hour, had a width of 15 yards and traveled 350 feet. The tornado developed on the western side of the Blacklick Valley High School football field and moved southeast across the field before lifting on the eastern side of the field.
