By Trent Rice Dec 14, 2020 DES MOINES, Iowa -- Weather's going to start off cold for much of Iowa this week. "Temperatures on Monday across much of the state are going to be in the middle 20's to low 30's. As we get to Wednesday, temperatures will be slowly rising--just a few degrees shy of freezing. By Friday, statewide upper 30's to maybe lower 40's over Southern Iowa" says National Weather Service Meteorologist Andrew Ansorge. He says it's also going to be drier than normal all the way through the weekend. "There's no major systems coming through. There might be something west of the Missouri River border Monday night into Tuesday, otherwise looking dry through the week" Ansorge says.
