Around these parts April and May are typically regarded as the off-season, more unflatteringly referred to as our mud season. But this spring much of the snow in town had melted by the last day of March, followed by an April that was abnormally dry. That weather combo somewhat delayed the onset of a full-on quagmire, until we received a good soaking rain this past Sunday.
