Coombs, Knight impress in third round of Murray State Invitational Posted By: Simon Elfrink April 12, 2021 Andrea Jameson ajameson1@murraystate.edu It was an exciting weekend for the Murray State men’s golf team as they competed in the Murray State Invitational in Dickson, Tennessee, on Monday, April 5, and Tuesday, April 6, with two seniors winning the low-round honors at the Greystone Golf Club. As a team, the Racers shot a line of 289-296-294—879, placing sixth out of 15 teams in the competition. Seniors Connor Coombs and Austin Knight made the lowest score in the first and third round of the tournament with a three-under-par 69. Austin Knight swung a line of 72-76-69—217 and placed 18th as the Racers’ best finisher with senior Avery Edwards falling right behind in 27th on rounds of 74-73-74—221.
