RALEIGH — Locks from Murphy to Manteo will not change for another four weeks. Gov. Roy Cooper on Wednesday kept his most recent mandates in place with executive orders that extend to Feb. 28. That includes a daily curfew from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., a halt to evictions, and allowance for curbside alcohol sales. Cooper and cabinet level Secretary Dr. Mandy Cohen of the Department of Health and Human Services shared the podium and news in a Wednesday afternoon session, taking questions afterward and carefully walking around some direct answers. Although the state has levels of priority that now allow adults age 65-and-up to get vaccinated, in some places there are younger people getting shots before the more elderly and vulnerable.
