Whitmer was joined by Michigan Department of Health and Human Services Chief Medical Executive Dr. Joneigh Khaldun and Attorney General Dana Nessel. ► Sunday's & Monday's cases Monday the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services reported a two day case count of 7,205. Today’s daily case count represents new referrals of confirmed cases to the state since Saturday, Dec. 12. Over the two days the average number of new confirmed cases is roughly 3,602 per day. The total case count is 437,985. The death toll is at 10,752 with 90 deaths reported for Sunday and Monday.
