Date Time Council calls for greater connectivity on Australia’s biggest transport project Mayor of Liverpool Wendy Waller is calling for improvements to public transport networks in the Liverpool region, following the recent announcement of the NSW Government’s planning approval of the Sydney Metro – Western Sydney Airport project. Mayor Waller said while Liverpool City Council recognises this milestone, the metro line does not provide all of the required public transport connectivity to the Liverpool region. Council has previously called on the NSW Government to extend the south-west rail line from Leppington to the Western Sydney International Airport (WSIA) and for the delivery of the Fifteenth Avenue Smart Transit Corridor (FAST) project.
