Council will consider moving forward with an affordable housing complex, seven new business action items and one piece of unfinished business, at Salidaâs regular meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday. The city will consider approving the transfer and conveyance of .38 acres of real property, located at M Street and W. Third Street, from the City of Salida to the Chaffee Housing Trust, to be used for affordable housing. Council previously re-zoned the area to medium density and vacated a portion of Crestone Avenue with Ordinance 2020-10. The planning commission approved, with conditions, a limited impact review for a six-unit affordable residential development, to consist of four separate buildings, including a duplex, a primary residence with an attached ADU and two single-family dwellings on Nov. 23.
