Among the newly detected cases, there was an Indian expert and the remaining cases are all Vietnamese citizens, who entered the nation via Moc Bai international border gate in the southern province of Tay Ninh, and returned from the Philippines and Japan. They are now being put into isolation to undergo COVID-19 treatment at local hospitals after they were confirmed to carry the virus. Following the latest discovery, the overall number of imported cases rose to 1,045. The same day an additional six patients were released from hospital after making a full recovery from the virus, boosting total recoveries to 2,422 nationwide.
