Covid-19 cases in East Lothian at their highest for two months


THE number of coronavirus cases in East Lothian has passed 50 for the first time since the beginning of April, according to the latest data from Public Health Scotland.
Between May 27 and June 2, a total of 54 cases were recorded in the county, with the number in Dunbar continuing to rise.
The first three days of June saw 39 positive cases of Covid-19 recorded, 15 on June 1, 11 on June 2 and 13 on June 3.
This means East Lothian’s seven-day positive rate per 100,000 population is now sitting at 50.4 and the seven-day test positivity rate two per cent.
Seven days ago (for between May 20-26) only 12 cases were recorded in the county and the seven-day positive rate per 100,000 people was 11.2
