(WAFF) - The Community Action Partnership of North Alabama announce families in Cullman, Lawrence and Morgan County may qualify for a one-time $1,000 payment to their utility providers. A representative from CAPNA said families wo have never received energy assistance in the past may qualify for the one-time payment. However, payments must still qualify for assistance using established eligibility guidelines. WAFF is told one-time payments in the amount of $1,000 will be made directly to utility providers to offset the cost of utility expenses for qualifying families. Eligibility is based on the applicant’s total household income for the previous month and must be at or below 150% Federal poverty guidelines, said CAPNA.
