SRINAGAR: Authorities on Saturday declared Jan-Mohalla locality of Kaloosa, Nathpora in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district as a Micro Containment Zone after five positive cases of COVID-19 and one death due to the virus was reported in the area, officials said. An official told the news agency KNO that the decision to declare the locality as a micro containment zone was taken following the detection of 05 fresh COVID-19 positive cases and also a death in Jan-Mohalla Kaloosa of estate Kaloosa Nathpora. An order issued by Deputy Commissioner Bandipora in this regard reads that it has become imperative, in view of detection of 05 fresh COVID-19 positive cases and 01 death in Jan Mohalla Kaloosa of estate Kaloosa Nathpora Tehsil and District Bandipora, to initiate necessary measures under Epidemic Disease Act, 1897 and Disaster Management Act, 2005 for immediate prevention of the spread of the virus and for the safety and prevention any harm to human life.
