COVID-19: Number of new cases in city falls Sunday, but stil

There is little doubt Ottawa is now battling a fresh wave of COVID-19 infection, with another 198 new cases reported Sunday — down from Saturday’s record total, but still among the highest daily counts in the year-long pandemic.
Ottawa Public Health reports there are now 1,641 active cases of the coronavirus, though no new deaths were reported, leaving the total number of fatalities at 467. The unit reported 240 new cases on Saturday, the highest one-day total since the pandemic struck in March 2020.
