Credit ODRC Ohio's prison authority is vaccinating inmates and staff against the coronavirus at three detention facilities starting this week. for Ohio Public Radio, WCPN's Matt Richmond reports the vaccines are limited to inmates under medical care. Listen / 0:52 According to the Ohio Department of Rehabilitations and Correction, vaccinations will be available to about 600 inmates and 450 staff members. This round is for medical workers and prisoners in long-term health facilties at the three sites - Franklin Medical Center, Pickaway Correctional Institution, and Allen-Oakwood Correctional Institution. During a December 23rd press conference, Governor Mike DeWine said there's not a plan for the rest of the prisons.
