Charlie Baker on Tuesday set a reopening timeline to increase the capacities at sports venues like Fenway Park and TD Garden.As of May 10, large venues such as indoor and outdoor stadiums, arenas and ballparks will be permitted to have 25% capacity. ^^ Related video above: A review of COVID-19 safety changes in place ^^The venues have operating at 12% capacity since March 22. When the new capacity rules go into effect, the TD Garden would be permitted roughly 4,800 fans, Fenway Park about 9,400 and Gillette roughly 16,500 fans."Today’s announcement allows us to begin accommodating close to 10,000 fans at Fenway Park starting May 10, and to plan for games and events during the summer months more appropriately, including our Fenway Park concert series in August, subject to final state approval," Red Sox President & CEO Sam Kennedy said. "We are eager to see the ballpark back to full capacity as soon as possible and appreciate the work our public officials have done to allow us to safely reopen."
